With the extreme heat of summer approaching, it’s a good idea to clean your trampoline and protect it against these harsh weather conditions. As long as you have everything you need at home, you can get started cleaning and protecting it.
The first step to clean a trampoline is to give it a good wash. This will get rid of any dirt or mould. Use a soft broom or leaf blower to remove any loose leaves or twigs. Then, use lukewarm water and a soft cloth or sponge to clean everything thoroughly. Do not use soap or abrasive cloths or sponges, as they may damage the surface.
Once the trampoline is completely dry, check all the metal elements. To prevent rust and corrosion and to protect all metal parts from dirt, it is best to use WD-40 Multi-Use Product. Spray the metal well and wipe off any excess with a dry cloth. Another advantage of this treatment is the fact that the lubricating effect prevents you from hearing squeaking or creaking noises while jumping.
If you are travelling during the summer holiday period, you may want to store your trampoline. First, remove the safety net and protective edge and fold them carefully. Does the frame have a click system? Then you simply slide the trampoline apart. If necessary, use a rubber mallet to gently tap the parts loose. Make sure all loose parts are clean and dry, and well lubricated with WD-40 Multi Use product, before you put the trampoline away.
If you don’t have time to completely disassemble and store the trampoline, then you can use a specialist cover.
