HOW TO CLEAN A TV REMOTE CONTROL
If your remote control is in frequent use, then it’s worth cleaning it regularly. This guide will show you how to clean a TV remote control so that it remains in good condition for a long time.

Step 1
OPEN THE REMOTE CONTROL AND REMOVE THE BATTERIES
The first step to clean a TV remote control is to open it and remove the batteries. If necessary, you can replace the existing batteries with new ones.
Next, use a slightly damp cloth – not too wet! – to clean the buttons and spaces on the front of the remote control. Food residues and dirt can be removed easily and effectively in this way.

CLEAN THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY CONTACTS
The next step is to check and clean all the battery contact points. Soak a cotton bud in WD-40 Specialist contact spray cleaner and gently clean the contact points. Don’t spray it directly into the interior of the remote control to avoid excess liquid pooling inside the control and not evaporating.
