As much fun as and slime can be for kids, it can also be a nightmare to remove. Silly putty and slime can leave stains, residue and bad smells around your home. So, this is why it is best to remove it as soon as possible.
Not sure how? You’re in the right place. Follow this super simple guide to discover how to remove slime from carpets, clothes and more!
Firstly, you should try to remove as much of the slime as possible from the surface. Whether you choose to grab, scrape, or wipe, it is important to eradicate as much of the slime as possible. Then, it’s time to get down to the business of cleaning the slime stains away.
Now that you have removed the surface slime, you can begin to tackle the deeper set remnants. Shake your handy can of WD-40® Multi-Use Product well, and use the wide spray nozzle to saturate the stained area with product. Let this solution sit for around five minutes to give the product time to work. WD-40®’s water displacing properties will help to loosen the slime.
Now that you have loosened the slime, you can scrub it away.
Simply grab an old towel (or cloth) and scrub away at the affected area, using varying pressure to reach both the surface levels and deeper down into the fabric. You may wish to dampen the towel for even better results.
