Rusty taps often go unnoticed until the rust causes them to get jammed. If you want to remove rust from taps, make sure you tackle the problem while it is new instead of waiting for things to get worse.
People commonly use household ingredients like vinegar and lemon juice to remove rust. However, if you want to get rid of rust from your taps quickly and easily, you should grab a can of WD-40 Multi Use Product.
To remove rust from taps effectively, first clean away all the visible dirt and grime on the surface of the taps. Just take a clean rag or cloth and a regular kitchen cleaning spray and give them a good wipe down.
Next, take your can of WD-40 Multi Use Product, shake it well and spray it on the rusty areas of your tap. Make sure the rust on the tap is fully covered with the liquid.
Do not hurry when it comes to cleaning the rust off your tap after spraying WD-40. Let the liquid rest for a few minutes. During this time, WD-40 will work its magic on the rust and break its particles down.
Finally, take a wire brush or sandpaper and slowly scrub the rust off the tap. Once all the rust has gone, you can wash the tap before you start using it again.
