It is important to take care of your car’s wheel rims because they are the parts of your car that are the most prone to getting dirty, regardless of whether they are steel, alloy, or other materials. This step-by-step guide on how to protect car alloy rims will leave them free of any unwanted dirt, grime or corrosion.
To protect car alloy rims, firstly, give them a good wash and remove any loose dirt using a Soft-Bristled Brush. Use the brush around the spokes to clear the wheel’s surface without scratching or dulling car paint or chrome finishes.
Secondly, apply WD-40 Multi-Use Product onto a Cleaning Cloth. Rub the entire surface of the alloy wheel, focusing on any areas with remaining stubborn grime or brake dust. Please be advised this should be applied using a cloth to avoid getting any on the wheel or brake pads. Doing so could damage the brake pads and undermine the tyre’s performance.
Finally, wash off any WD-40 solution with a hose until it becomes smooth. Now apply these steps to the remaining alloy rims on the Vehicle.
