Over time, your golf clubs may become dirty, rusty or even damaged. Taking care of golf clubs is simple. Follow this convenient guide on how to clean golf clubs, with a little help from WD-40®, and your clubs will be looking brand-new in no time!
The best way to clean golf clubs is to simply fill a bowl with warm water and dish soap, and use the solution to wipe down your entire club with your microfibre cloth. Work the cloth gently in circular motions to remove as much build up as you can. On more stubborn areas, you may wish to use a soft bristled brush to dislodge the dirt.
Once you are happy, rinse the entire club with fresh water to reveal a clean surface!
Once you have cleaned your golf clubs, you will want to get them sparkling like new again. First, determine what material your club is plated in. The most common finishes are either chrome or steel. Once you know which you are dealing with, you should purchase the corresponding polish. Steel and chrome polishes can be found in your local hardware store.
Using a clean microfibre cloth, you should apply the polish to your club in circular motions. Let the polish dry over a few hours, then give your club a final wipe with a dry, clean cloth.
Using WD-40® Multi-Use Product, and a clean microfibre cloth, coat the entire length of your club in the product. Massage the formula in, and allow it to dry. The product will create an invisible protective barrier on the surface of your club, which will repel dust and moisture. In the long term, protecting your club will help to prevent damage as well as rust.
