You wash, polish, and wax your car. But, what about protecting your alloy wheel rims? It is important to maintain your car’s wheel rims because these are the parts that are the most prone to getting dirty. Learn how to clean alloy wheel rims on your car and leave them free of any unwanted dirt or grime!
Firstly, before you apply your handy WD-40 Multi-Use Product on your alloy wheel rims, you’ll need to start with a pre-wash. Remove any loose dirt using a soft-bristled brush. This will clear the wheel’s surface and not scratch or dull car paint or chrome finishes
Secondly, apply the WD-40 Multi-Use Product onto a cleaning cloth. Rub the entire surface of the alloy wheel, focusing on any areas with remaining stubborn grime or brake dust.
Be sure to use a cloth and avoid getting any lubricant on the wheel or brake pads. Doing so could damage the brake pads and undermine the tyre’s performance.
Finally, wash off the excess dirt and WD-40 solution with a hose. Repeat until all the wheel rims are clean.
