When it comes to cleaning your kitchen, your stainless-steel sink is often one of the most bothersome areas to tackle. The highly reflective surface shows up any marks, fingerprints, and grime very easily. So, it is important to know how to clean your stainless steel sink.
Before you start to clean a sink, you should first ensure that the area is clear. Remove any dirty dishes or cutlery so that the area is free from clutter.
Now, you can begin to clean the sink. Firstly, take a sponge, soap and warm water, and scrub all surfaces. Dislodge any remnants of food waste, oils and fats. Take extra care to reach into deep corners, and around the rim of your sink. These are areas which collect the most grime.
Once you are happy with the cleanliness of your sink, rinse away any remaining soap suds using warm water.
Now you have completed a surface cleanse, it’s time to deep clean the stainless steel sink! Before starting this step, ensure your sink has completely dried.
Using WD-40 Multi Use Product, coat the entire stainless-steel surface. Allow two to three minutes for the product to penetrate. Then, grab a microfibre cloth and buff the product away. This will reveal a super sparkly, reflective surface free of any marks!
Using WD-40® Multi Use Product will also protect the stainless-steel from future damage, as it forms a transparent barrier that displaces moisture. This will help to prevent rust, as well as making cleaning easier next time around.
Now that your stainless-steel sink is super clean, you should take some time to ensure that your drain is well maintained too. Kitchen sink drains can easily become blocked and smelly, due to the amount of food and drink that come into contact with them.
Ideally, use a drain unblocker once every few months. This will ensure the plumbing beneath your sink remains clear and free flowing – no nasty odors or potentially expensive blockages.
